Scandinavian Embassy

Five embassies in one
Rauchstraße 1
Felleshus / Pan Nordic Building

Denmark, Finland, Island, Norway and Sweden joined forces in the late 1990s to build a brand-new "Scandinavian Embassy" in Berlin's Tiergarten. The result is an innovative complex with sloping, light green, copper-plated walls, which can open and close like blinds. The birch trees growing in front of the building give it a subtle Nordic touch. Visitors are free to pop into the central reception area, where exhibitions by Scandinavian artists are on show. It is also worth going up to the second floor to get an overview of the whole complex.
