Built especially to host the musical "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", the 1,800 seat Stella Musical Theatre takes pride of place in Berlin's new shopping and entertainment centre, Potsdamer Platz. Yet with its modern glass facade and sloping roof, the theatre is no Notre Dame. Once a year the musical theatre transforms into a cinema to play host to the Berlin Film Festival.
