Spanish wine is becoming increasingly popular due to its high quality (critics now regard it as being equally good as French and Italian wine) and low price. Wein & Vinos quickly cottoned onto this and now has two branches, one in Kreuzberg and a larger branch close to Charlottenburg. The latter consists of two long rooms, rustically decorated and full of charm. The selection includes all the major Spanish wine growing regions as well as some rare (and expensive) bottles stored in a special glass case. There are numerous magnums, including a 28-litre bottle of Rioja for EUR 1,500. Fortunately, most of the other wines are much more affordable! Review © 2009, Wcities
