The weekly market at the Maybachufer has had the popular name 'Türkenmarkt' (Turkish market) for a long time. And it is indeed a real Turkish-Arabian-Oriental market right in the middle of the Berlin district of Neukölln, which was once called "capital of people on social security" by Spiegel, the weekly magazine. This is why you can find some really good bargains amongst the colourful mixture of local as well as exotic vegetables, oriental herbs and spices and Muslim articles.
