Busy Crellestraße was closed to through traffic at the end of the 1980s and the street is now a popular recreation area for both adults and kids. Grown-ups like to relax over a beer or a coffee in places like Toronto or Leuchtturm, while children prefer to kick a ball about in the pedestrian area close to the fountain on the corner of Helmstraße. But the street really livens up on Wednesdays and Saturdays when Turkish fruit and vegetable sellers set up their stalls on the market place near to Großgörschenstraße.
