The initials ZMS stand for Zeichnen, Malen and Schreiben - drawing, painting and writing. Yet this is almost an understatement, bearing in mind the vast selection of equipment and materials for office workers, designers, architects and students from the nearby Academy of Arts and Technical University. The choice is impressive: budding young architects will find not only compasses and fountain pens, but also balsa wood, wire and pieces of special cardboard for their models; artists and painters will be more than pleased with the range of paints, pastels, canvases, easels and textbooks; while normal customers with more down-to-earth needs are also well catered for.
