Club Deportivo is an institution in Bilbao with more than 100 years of sporting services to Bilbaoans. Situated right in the city centre, a short distance from the Guggenheim Museum and close to the shopping and business area of town, it offers its members many sports and leisure facilities. It is equipped with a wall for playing the traditional Basque squash-like game, pelota. It also has two smaller walls, a paddle court and a short court. In addition there are two saunas and steam baths, a multi-gym, a fitness gym with boxing ring, children's and full sized swimming pools and solarium. There is also a hairdresser, cafeteria, restaurant, television lounge and medical room. All of this makes Club Deportivo a sports and leisure centre for an exclusive clientele.

The Begoona municipal multi sports centre is situated in the Txurdinaga area and serves one of Bilbao's most densely populated districts. It is the best equipped municipal centre. Among its facilities are: a multi purpose covered arena, six gymnasiums for various uses (body building, martial arts, gymnastics), four squash courts, five tennis courts, six covered frontones (walls for playing traditional Basque ball game against), two heated indoor swimming pools, a large grass area and many other facilities. There are also many courses in things like aerobics, ballet and judo, etc., for senior citizens and more. For the use of these services you can purchase an annual pass for 14,370 pesetas as a resident of Bilbao and 18,260 ptas for those who are not.
