This grill is very well situated in the centre of Bilbao in one of the areas with the greatest concentration of services. This means that many of the restaurant's customers are office workers, especially at lunchtime. At weekends the grill attracts many people, especially the fairly well-heeled, but, being a spacious place, families, too. In the entrance area there is a bar-cafeteria in the same style as the rest of the establishment: mahogany furniture and open brickwork, giving the place an authentic and personal touch. The Asador Guetaria specialises in fish, and some recommendations are: Turbot Guetaria style, Hake Medallions Stuffed with Spider Crab, and for those who prefer meat, a good prime rib. Their wines include: Paternina (2,000 pesetas) or a Muga. The set menu is around 4,000 pesetas, but ordering á la carte is much more expensive at around 7,000 pesetas. Review © 2007, Wcities |
