Nuffield Hospitals run a total of 40 institutions in the UK. These hospitals are not part of the free National Health Service but instead are fee-paying. It is not necessary to have private medical insurance to be treated here, however. The Birmingham Nuffield Hospital opened in the mid-1960s and was extended in the 80s. It is in a pleasant, leafy part of the suburb of Edgbaston, and offers a high standard of medical care. A wide variety of conditions are treated here; consult the informative web site for full details. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The Birmingham Women's Hospital was created in 1995, when various specialist departments around the city were transferred to this single site. This National Health Service hospital was formerly known as the Birmingham Maternity Hospital, and the new name reflects the greater variety of services offered to female patients. Vinyl House 10 upper Gough Street Birmingham B1 1JG United Kingdom +44 121 687 7777 http://www.htfr.com |
This store is called Hard to Find because the helpful staff take pride in their ability to locate records that tend to be, well...hard to find. The shop specialises in old school, house, garage, drum n bass, electro and hip hop. They have around 50,000 records in stock and, just like the larger megastores, you have the chance to listen to the tracks before you buy. A free copy of the store's 88 page catalogue can be ordered from its informative web site. Review © 2007, Wcities |

4 Vicarage Road Edgbaston Birmingham B15 3ES United Kingdom +44 8705 80 8080 http://www.nationalexpress.com/ |
National Express is the largest coach operator in England, and its services in Birmingham run out of Digbeth coach station. Over 1,200 destinations are served daily and ticket prices are keen with many reductions if booked in advance. Traveling on a Friday is generally more expensive, as is the case on the rail network. A return to London can usually be had for £10-15 depending on date of travel and how far in advance you book. Review © 2007, Wcities |
