Discover Boise's trendiest neighborhood, Hyde Park, at this popular street fair. Live rock on two stages, a plethora of arts and crafts, and a beer garden and food court highlight the three-day fair on September's second weekend. A small-time event in past years, it has achieved recent popularity. If you don't like lots of people, don't go. Experience Basque culture |

With one of the largest Basque populations outside of Spain, Boise is the perfect place for a festival celebrating its culture. The San Inazio (St. Ignatius) Basque Festival is held on the weekend nearest July 31, which commemorates the saint's birthday. Downtown Grove Street is closed off while dances are held Saturday and Sunday nights. On Saturday afternoon, taste the Basque flavor with music, dance and sport exhibitions. This nine-day affair offers a variety of events, games, rides, live entertainment, food courts, trade shows, a rodeo and much more. Usual annual attendance reaches 260,000. Past Grandstand shows have included entertainers such as the Statler Brothers, Dwight Yoakum, Neal McCoy and Creedence Clearwater Revival, just to name a few.
