Bursts with fresh selections |
888 West Fort Street Boise, ID 83702 United States +1 208 472 4500 http://www.boisecoop.com/ |
A grocery store on the move is the best way to describe this cooperative market. Its roots go back to 1973, where it began on its path to the present location. A succession of stores followed from Hyde Park to Hill Road. Today, the spacious store in the North End offers locally produced goods from organic vegetables to muffins and fresh-baked breads. Gourmet coffee and carefully selected beer and wine are also available. The deli's display case bursts with color and selections include pasta salads and a multitude of cheeses. Funky eatery in historic neighborhood |
1602 North 13th Street Boise, ID 83702 United States +1 208 344 6967 |
Umbrella-covered patio tables spill out almost onto the sidewalk at this pizza joint in Boise's historic Hyde Park. In the summer, customers mingle, sipping cold beverages and munching on pizza slices. You can still see remnants of the restaurant's gas station origins, but this pizza parlor has been serving up pizza, not gasoline, since 1984. Try one of the specialties like the Camel's Back Pork Pie, named after a Boise landmark, or build your own pizza. A variety of sandwiches, named after Hyde Park Streets, and drinks, including wine and microbrews, are also available. Review © 2007, Wcities |
