Hyde Park

Window shopping along historic street
13th Street
(north of downtown)
Boise, ID 83702
United States

http://www.northend.org/hydepa...
For old-world charm, visitors can stroll or cycle through this North End neighborhood. Neat bungalows line 13th Street, brushing up against sports stores, river guides, art galleries, interior decorators, antique shops and tasty restaurants like Lucky 13 and Richard's Across the Street. Close to the downtown area but feeling like a small village within the city, the neighborhood is famous for its Hyde Park Street Fair. This small retail center deserves its place among favorite shopping haunts.

Ten Thousand Villages

International crafts in historic neighborhood
1609 North 13th Street
Boise, ID 83702
United States
+1 208 333 0535
The bright red logo of a small village on a startling white sign invites passersby to enter this Hyde Park store. Located in an old-fashioned, blue wood-framed house, this craft store features international works of art. The nonprofit Mennonite-associated store offers items rarely seen and sometimes hard to identify, like a "balaphone" musical instrument. Tall, carved animals stand on shelves, while frog sculptures pose nearby. Handmade cards, drums and needlework round out the eclectic selection.
