Regular commuters greet each other by name on this old-fashioned, friendly small city bus service. The conversation flows with concerned questions about someone's absence or a friend's children. Cyclists attach their bikes to racks on the front of each bus and rest their weary legs or finish the last leg of a commute. Most of the routes feed through the Downtown Transit Center. Some of the routes, like Warm Springs and Hyde Park, roll through Boise's older neighborhoods for an inexpensive tour.

Karcher Mall

Oldest shopping mall
1509 Caldwell Boulevard
Boise, ID 83651
United States
+1 208 465 7845
This boxy, bland building is a strange place to find history, but, as Idaho's oldest shopping mall, it claims a unique place in shopping history. Today, it plays second fiddle to the jazzier and more popular Boise Towne Square Mall. However, local shoppers still congregate to the elder statesman of Idaho malls. Popular department stores like the Bon Marche and Emporium are located here, as well as smaller stores like Radio Shack and Kay Bee Toy Store. Movie-goers will find the Karcher Reel Cinema and hungry shoppers can chow down at a variety of restaurants.
