This is a summer event (from July-Sept) among the thousands of locations in the city, the 'Bologna Sogna-Open Festival' takes place inside palaces, courtyards, piazzas, parks and historical sites, with theatrical shows, concerts, performances, guided tours of museums and exhibitions. A long list of artists have taken part in previous festivals such as Dario Fo, Steve Lacy, Carmelo Bene and many others. The billing offers a long series of events for all ages. A bus tour to discover Bologna |

A panoramic tour that lasts around two hours, on a 16-seater minibus, accompanied by a tourist guide. You will see Neptune's fountain, Piazza Maggiore, The Two Towers, Palazzo della Mercanzia, the Seven Churches, St Dominic's church, St Michael in the Woods, St Luke's and the Piazza Malpighi. The tour takes place on W, Th, Sa and Su at 10a and 3p, leaving from via Indipendenza, by the steps leading to the Pincio. There are further stops on the same road to pick up passengers at the Hotel Baglioni and Piazza Enzo. You can book at Cosepuri Divisione Bus, +39 051 51 7070, before 6p on the day preceding the tour, or until midday on Sa. This is annual festival is organised by the City Association of Dance. Touring shows, air and water-borne dances, multimedia performances, a video exhibition, worksops, masterclasses, a photgraphic exhibition and a conference on the contemporary image of urban dance.
