Considering the size and prestige of the city, Bordeaux needs to have a large number of hotels and other accommodations to match to the constant influx of tourists coming from all over the world. In Bordeaux, people live at night and the impressive number of restaurants, bars and cinemas will make you choose a hotel in the City Centre or in the nearby suburbs. You will always find a place corresponding to your own personality.

If you arrive in town by train, take advantage of the hotels near the train station. Choose the Ibis Saint-Jean, the Climat de France Saint-Jean, the Soretel Saint-Jean if you like big chain of hotels. If you want to spend only one night in town, many other inexpensive establishments will allow you to remain close to the train station.

A Wealth of Options

For those of you who feel like being in the City Centre, Bordeaux has many different solutions: there are luxurious places such as the Holiday Inn Mériadeck, or the Grand Hôtel Français, which are three-star hotels, or more affordable ones such as the Hôtel des Quatre-Soeurs, the Hôtel de l'Opéra, the Bristol, or the Hôtel d'Aquitaine.

Budget

Of course, those with a tight budget will also find numerous small family hotels with comfortable rooms: La Belle au Bois Dormant, Hôtel de la Boétie, the Lafaurie or Le Studio.

Rural Charm

Nevertheless, you do not need to stay in the heart of Bordeaux; those with a car may choose the outskirts of the town at Hôtel de la Cité, the Otelinn Alton, or La Pelouse—all have many services and varied prices. For lower prices, try Les Cèdres, or the Walien Chanterel in Bordeaux Bastide.

Traveler's Convenience

If you arrive in Bordeaux by plane, you will certainly need to find a nice place near the Bordeaux-Mérignac airport. A few minutes away from the airport itself, you will find a large number of hotels, with varied services and prices, including Aérogril, Ibis Mérignac, Novotel, or the Travel-Inn.

Among these numerous hotels you will surely find the one that suits any budget and personality.

Business Options

Hotels are also very useful for people working in the region, who need to find a place to spend one night near Bordeaux, or for those of you who are in Bordeaux for a Congress, a meeting or an exhibition and who want to gather with colleagues. For these purposes, choose from Mercure Mériadeck Centre, Relais Mercure Lac, or Libertel Claret, if you want a three-star hotel, or La Méridienne, Le Provençal, or Les Balladines, for more modest choices. These are all excellent choices to reconcile work and relaxation.

In fact, you do not need to go to city centre of Bordeaux in order to find a place to spend a night when you are travelling by car. Many nice and comfortable hotels are available and we advise you to choose between one of those chain hotels, including Campanile, Formule 1, or B and B.

Suburban Living

Moreover, we shall not forget the residential hotels which can be found a little bit everywhere in Bordeaux and the suburbs: Les Citadines, Les Symphoniales or the Appart Hôtel Victoria Garden, which are a good solution for people who want to spend a long time in town.

Luxury

Finally, the cream of the crop in Bordeaux are Burdigala, the Sofitel Aquitania, the Hostellerie des Criquets, and the Saint James...just to make you dream!

We hope you will enjoy your stay in Bordeaux, should it be for one night, a few days, or longer. You will certainly find the right place to suit your needs. Enjoy this very beautiful town that is Bordeaux.

City Centre

Bordeaux
France
The centre of Bordeaux comprises several quarters offering a wide variety of attractions. Of the neighborhoods found here, St. Pierre, perhaps most notably, lies in the heart of Bordeaux, and is the historic centre of the town. It is made up of beautiful little streets, some of which are still paved. Saint Pierre is Bordeaux's culinary capital, with a large variety of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket—something for gourmets and gourmands alike. The Place du Parlement is home to some wonderful architecture and a decorative fountain. Also in the area is the Eglise Saint Pierre, built in the XVth and XVIth centuries on the site of the former Gallo-Roman port.

Bordeaux, Aquitaine 33000

Like some of the most luxurious hotels in town, this two-star establishment is located in the very heart of Bordeaux. If the Bristol hotel is not quite as luxurious at its neighbors, the rooms are nevertheless pleasant, comfortable and soundproof. They are simply decorated. There are two buildings: the one-star annex is named after the famous French poet, La Boëtie. Cinemas, theatres, restaurants and bars are two steps away.
