Bordeaux, Aquitaine 33300

Behind its modern façade, this hotel welcomes both business travellers and other guests. For business it's conveniently situated close to the Palais des Congrès and the Parc des Expositions, while the attractions of the city centre are only a ten-minute drive away. The interior is rather sombre, but the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The friendly, multilingual staff (speaking English, German, Spanish and Italian) are always available throughout the day and you can take breakfast outside on the terrace.

Hôtel Bristol

An exceptional location
14 ter, place Gambetta
(Rue Bouffard)
Bordeaux, Aquitaine 33000
France
+33 556 81 8501
Like some of the most luxurious hotels in town, this two-star establishment is located in the very heart of Bordeaux. If the Bristol hotel is not quite as luxurious at its neighbors, the rooms are nevertheless pleasant, comfortable and soundproof. They are simply decorated. There are two buildings: the one-star annex is named after the famous French poet, La Boëtie. Cinemas, theatres, restaurants and bars are two steps away.

Hôtel Mercure Château Chartrons

Attractive and modern
81, cours St-Louis
(Cours Journu-Auber)
Bordeaux, Aquitaine 33000
France
+33 556 43 1500

The architecture of this fully renovated building's façade is unusual, consisting of a hanging glass and steel "cage." Inside, however, the spacious rooms are well appointed, pleasantly laid out and decorated for the most past in pastel shades. Sample the food and wines of the region at the restaurant-brasserie Le Cabernet, the bar, Le Clairet, which is open until midnight, or the wine cellar. Breakfast costs about EUR 12.50 and is served either in your room or the brasserie.

Hôtel de Normandie

Famous in the region
7-9 cours du 30 Juillet
Bordeaux, Aquitaine 33000
France
+33 556 52 1680
Right by the Grand Théâtre and opposite the tourist office is one of the most spacious hotels in the city centre. In summer the airy, beautifully arranged rooms are often reserved by foreign visitors well in advance. A bar and cafeteria serve drinks and gourmet snacks, while there are many nearby restaurants in which to discover local cuisine. Far from the large, modern complexes on the outskirts of the city, this hotel lets you stay right among the city's many monuments and attractions.

Quality Ste-Catherine

Central and convenient
27, rue du Parlement-Ste-Catherine
Bordeaux, Aquitaine 33000
France
+33 556 81 9512
Even if business people enjoy its comfort and cosy atmosphere, this hotel is also appreciated for its convenience: free transport to Mérignac airport and parking facilities reserved for guests are rare assets in the town centre. There are also many shops and restaurants nearby. The large rooms in this fully renovated 18th-century building do not adhere to the original style, but are rather of contemporary design. They are also soundproof and fitted with all modern facilities.
