The Porter Exchange building has many noodle shops and sushi bars, but this one claims to offer Boston's cheapest Japanese food. The sushi is fresh and, yes, cheap—you can get 18 pieces of sea urchin sushi. The menu also features a delicious selection of udon and rice dishes and a lunchtime "speed menu" of combination platters. The bright, clean surroundings attract hordes of local residents and workers. The restaurant serves beer and wine.
