This French Renaissance-style 386-room hotel is in Boston's architecturally rich Copley Square. Adjacent are the 60-story John Hancock Tower (Boston's tallest building), historic Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library. The hotel is also close to trendy Newbury Street. Opened in 1912 and renovated in 1998, this six-story hotel boasts elegant public areas. The hotel is noted for its formal restaurant and bar, the Oak Room, where gentlemen are expected to wear jackets as they sip their martinis.
