Located in Boston's South End district, a neighborhood known for its working class population and industrial surroundings, is the Gaslight Brasserie du Coin. Since opening in August 2007, the brasserie strove to carve its niche in the always-growing list of South End French eateries. The menu includes such classics as Steak Frites, and Salade Nicoise, along side welcomed outsiders like the Sandwich Cubano and the Free Range Veal Weiner Schitzel. The wine list is impressive and accompanied by a knowledgeable staff who are ready to pick the perfect glass to complement a dish. The interior is full of deep colors and smiling faces, creating a happy atmosphere that may not be right for an intimate meal, but is perfect for a dinner with close friends.
