Considered to be one of the best hotel bars in Boston, the Julien Bar & Lounge in The Langham, Boston is one of the city's most beautiful places to unwind. Originally the reception room for the governors of the Federal Reserve Bank, the elegant bar's magnificent detail – carved doorways, gilded ceilings, and motif of corncob – serves as an elaborate reminder of the grand Renaissance Revival period. Two N.C. Wyeth murals, commissioned by the Bank's governors in 1923, decorate the Julien Bar's paneled walls.
