French style in Boston |
75 S Charles Street (near Stuart Street) Boston, MA 02116 +1 617 423 4944 http://www.pigalleboston.com |
Pigalle brings a hint of Parisian bravado to Boston's Theater District. Critically acclaimed chef Marc Orfaly and his kitchen staff keep diners clamoring for more with a menu of exciting bistro-style meals. Appetizers run the gamut from Cream of Chestnut Soup and Steak Tartare to Crispy Phyllo Tuna Rolls and terrines of eggplant or duck liver. Decadent to be sure, but it is all just a prelude to the entrees. Go as simply as pasta or risotto, or go big with Butter-Poached Lobster or a Crispy Half Duck. The signature dish, of course, is the Pigalle Cassoulet (with confit duck leg, braised lamb shank and homemade pork sausage). As if all of that were not enough, Pigalle also offers a five-course specialized tasting menu. Review © 2009, Wcities |
