This Southern-style barbecue joint is mainly known as a takeout spot, although there are 12 seats available inside. The décor is unique; you can see the cook in action over a glass wall and license plates from southern barbecue states on display. The food is the biggest draw here, including North Carolina pulled pork, Texas sliced beef brisket, red hot smoked sausage and Memphis dry-rubbed barbecued ribs. Rice and beans, collards and mashed potatoes are among the side dishes. This eatery does not serve alcohol. There is also an Arlington location.

The Plats principaux menu includes Bouillabaisse, Chicken Hushwee, and Roast Lamb Chops. Couples might want to try the Plats pour deux delicacies. Seafood lovers will like the fruits de mer menu and those with a sweet tooth will love the desserts. The daily specialties and the daily selection of cheeses with a glass of port wine are quite popular. Luckily, the establishment can accommodate around 200 people in its lower and upper dining areas, outdoor seating area and bar, so you might just get a place if you visit. Chef Marc Orfaly, after conquering the world of bistro fare at Pigalle, decided to tackle Italian head on. The antipasti here offer just a hint of what's to come. Oven-Baked Figs, Fried Cod Cheeks and an ample seafood list (which includes sardines, anchovies, marinated calamari and eel) will whet even the most stubborn of appetites. As per Roman tradition, even beyond the appetizers, you still have two courses to choose from. The first choice is mainly pastas and risotto. The second is more complex: Chicken Cacciatore, Veal Saltimbocca and lobster are just a few of the options. And still, all of that is to say nothing of the items hot off the grill: steaks, sausage, fish or the Surf & Turf. The wine list is exclusively and impressively Italian.

From Italian fare to steak as well as seafood, the menu at this classic steakhouse is diverse and always extraordinary. As with all its outlets across the US and Mexico, the place has minimal decor, complete with wood accents and plush leather booths, and caricatures of well-known celebrities and local notables, on the walls. The dining room spreads over two floors with ample window seats and a nice long bar. Everything comes a la carte, which means big portions and bigger prices. The steaks are melt-in-your-mouth good, the lobsters intimidatingly huge, and the service, as always, excellent.

Pigalle brings a hint of Parisian bravado to Boston's Theater District. Critically acclaimed chef Marc Orfaly and his kitchen staff keep diners clamoring for more with a menu of exciting bistro-style meals. Appetizers run the gamut from Cream of Chestnut Soup and Steak Tartare to Crispy Phyllo Tuna Rolls and terrines of eggplant or duck liver. Decadent to be sure, but it is all just a prelude to the entrees. Go as simply as pasta or risotto, or go big with Butter-Poached Lobster or a Crispy Half Duck. The signature dish, of course, is the Pigalle Cassoulet (with confit duck leg, braised lamb shank and homemade pork sausage). As if all of that were not enough, Pigalle also offers a five-course specialized tasting menu.
