Founded in 1977 by a former teacher, the shop's philosophy promotes cultural awareness and a heightened perception of the importance of children in global issues. Despite this rather child-heavy philosophy, this shop offers a great selection of kid diversions. There are development toys for infants such as play quilts and mirrors. Older kids can find puppets, science kits, and arts and crafts supplies such as crayons, doodle pads and bead accessories. Dolls, including Raggedy Ann, and doll accessories are well stocked as are stuffed toy animals, train sets and make-believe kits.
