Eat well |

This well established restaurant has been in existence since 1977. Recent refurbishment now allows seating for up to 150 curry eaters. The Ashoka is well decorated and smart with a pleasant atmosphere. The traditional, yet extensive, menu offers a good selection of vegetarian and meat options and a choice of fish dishes. Although this restaurant is slightly more expensive than some of the others in this area, the excellent service contributes towards an enjoyable eating experience. Be sure to try the special Sunday buffet lunch from midday-3p. The restaurant is "allergy aware" and will prepare meals to customer requirements. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hidden underneath a large block of flats in Hove, the Bali Brasserie can be difficult to locate. Once inside the building the first port of call is the Bali bar. The decor is quite bizarre as it clearly hasn't altered since the 1970s. The walls are lined with bamboo and plastic flowers and the bar is covered in tiny mirror tiles. Tacky is not the word. You are welcome to stop by for drinks but then you would be missing the food. The restaurant itself is large and more subtle. The staff are dressed in traditional costume to add an authentic feel. Food is exceptionally good and the menu varied. Review © 2007, Wcities |

With strong connections to the renowned English's Oyster Bar and Seafood Restaurant and a position next to the premier performing arts centre Komedia, Curve has some impressive friends. Beautifully styled, Curve has a great location for a coffee in the afternoon or a full meal in the evening. Starters like the local organic mushrooms in puff pastry with a white wine and cream sauce are a treat. Main courses like roast crispy duck, venison sausages and mediterranean vegetable wellington are just a small selection of what is on offer. In summer the whole front opens up to let you watch all the people go by. Review © 2007, Wcities |
