Kensingtons has been established in the North Laine area of the town for several years. Climb the stairs and take in the bright and airy surroundings. The menu is extremely varied: from breakfasts (£3-£4) to sandwiches with over 60 fillings ranging from smoked salmon and cream cheese to bacon, brie, walnut and mayo'. Mexican fajita wraps, nachos, baked potatoes and a good choice of light meals and salads are also available. Drinks include hot chocolate with marshmallows, cappuccino, cinnamon flavoured coffee and freshly squeezed carrot juice.

+44 1273 704000 Small but beautifully laid out, this cafe maintains a cosy feel despite the ultra-modern look and windows for walls. The short, snacky, but imaginative, food menu is available midday-9pm. There is a tempting range of "Big Baps" from £2.95, a selection of nibbles such as chinese spring rolls with sauce for £2.75 and delicious desserts too. The food is described as "positively organic, definitely vegan". The wine list is organic, as is the fresh juice menu. Or you could sink into a ice cream and fresh organic fruit smoothie for £2.25, available with lovely booze added for just £4.25.
