Eat on the beach |
250a Kings Road Arches (Lower Promenade) Brighton, East Sussex BN1 1NB United Kingdom +44 1273 74 6067 |
This restaurant is situated right on the beach next to The "Doughnut". It has a wonderful decked dining area outside—a perfect place to sip coffee to the sound of the waves washing over the pebbles. Open all day for drinks or food, The Boardwalk has a range of cocktails, shakes and alcoholic drinks. The menu is tempting, featuring Moules Marinieres and home made burgers along with organic meat dishes, salads and a good old English breakfast. The prices are reasonable and the location makes it hard to top. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Feasts for friends |

This locals' favourite restaurant has an airy feel from the many tall windows and bright, green walls. Parents can rest assured that children are most welcome in this warm and friendly find. They have an excellent self-service selection of pick 'n' mix salads, bakes, pasta and rice dishes, and a collection of roasted/stuffed/fried vegetables of all kinds. The food here is exclusively vegetarian and vegan, and if you have diabetes, an allergy, or are on a gluten-free diet, then there's something on the menu for you. There is a healthy selection of organic wines, beers, ciders and soft drinks. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Small but beautifully laid out, this cafe maintains a cosy feel despite the ultra-modern look and windows for walls. The short, snacky, but imaginative, food menu is available midday-9pm. There is a tempting range of "Big Baps" from £2.95, a selection of nibbles such as chinese spring rolls with sauce for £2.75 and delicious desserts too. The food is described as "positively organic, definitely vegan". The wine list is organic, as is the fresh juice menu. Or you could sink into a ice cream and fresh organic fruit smoothie for £2.25, available with lovely booze added for just £4.25. Review © 2007, Wcities |
