Terrific Thai |
60 Western Rd Hove Brighton, East Sussex BN3 1JD United Kingdom +44 1273 77 3922 http://www.aumthong.com |
Aumthong Thai has been established for some years and can be spotted by its eye catching bright blue exterior. Try mixed seafood, deep fried in batter with sweet chilli sauce for a real treat. Starters vary in price and begin at around £3.95 with main dishes ranging from £5-£20. These include seafood, meat dishes, noodles and curries. End your meal with one of the tempting desserts... that is if you have room left for one. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Truly kitsch |
Kingsway Court First Avenue Brighton, East Sussex BN3 2LR United Kingdom +44 1273 32 3810 |
Hidden underneath a large block of flats in Hove, the Bali Brasserie can be difficult to locate. Once inside the building the first port of call is the Bali bar. The decor is quite bizarre as it clearly hasn't altered since the 1970s. The walls are lined with bamboo and plastic flowers and the bar is covered in tiny mirror tiles. Tacky is not the word. You are welcome to stop by for drinks but then you would be missing the food. The restaurant itself is large and more subtle. The staff are dressed in traditional costume to add an authentic feel. Food is exceptionally good and the menu varied. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The Thai Café @ Circus Circus has undergone a dramatic transformation. What once was a dark, airless pub is now a bright, breezy eaterie just across the street from the Duke of York's Cinema. Popular with office workers at lunchtime and early evening; the crowd is mixed later on. An extensive menu, including Thai cuisine is on offer from breakfasts and baguettes to full meals. This is quality cuisine at very reasonable prices. Desserts are home-made and Chunky Paprika Fries are quite wonderful. Review © 2007, Wcities |
