Fascinating social history of Cleveland |
60 Smith Street Cleveland Brisbane, QLD 4163 +61 7 3286 3494 http://www.redlandmuseum.org.au/ |
As one of the earliest European settlements in Australia, the social history of Cleveland makes for a fascinating journey back in time. Cleveland was a flourishing farming community, providing fruit and vegetables for the Brisbane area. The display and shop area, having been extended in 1995, now equals 1,200 square metres. The range of items on display is incredible and includes furniture, currency, agricultural equipment, clothing, clocks, weapons, as well as historical accounts of rural life, people, the arts, the armed forces, education and more. Admission: Adults AUD3, pensioners AUD2, children AUD1 Review © 2009, Wcities |
