Established in 1978 in the spectacular Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens, this planetarium was Queensland's first. Within the Planetarium's Cosmic Skydome, visitors obtain a perfect view of space as seen in the Southern Hemisphere. A gallery features astronomical photographs, maps and diagrams. Visitors are invited to spend time with the astronomers when sky conditions are suitable for stargazing.
