Although the exterior is modern brick, built in 1976, inside it has timber cloisters and balustrades for the choir and organ gallery. As well as normal services, throughout the year music recitals and festivals are held, the acoustics resulting in excellent up-lifting music. The St. Andrews brass band plays frequently at the recitals. Parking is provided next to the church--drive in off Wharf Street and Wickham Street corner.
