200 Rue St Lambert, 200 Woluwé Shopping Center Brussels 1200 Belgium +32 (0)2 777 0450 / +32 (0)2 777 0455 http://www.1001pattes.be/xml/p... |
1001 Pattes (1001 Paws) is a shoe store, two under the same roof, in fact. One for men and kids and one for ladies, also offering a wide collection of handbags. The range in this shop is truly remarkable. Shoes of all possible sorts, in all shapes and sizes but, above all, in all colours. Now just try and find clothes that match them! Handbags won't be a problem. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Buy shoes while playing |
144 Rue de l'Eglise Brussels 1150 Belgium +32 (0)2 779 0517 |
Alexandra Junior is a beautiful, thriving shoestore for little ones. It is so busy, that you have to take a number and wait your turn. In the meantime, kids can play. There is a TV with cartoons, they can draw and, instead of couches, there is a kind of tribune where children are fitted for shoes. Alexandra Junior regularly organises a drawing contest, after which the drawings are hung on the shop's walls. Review © 2007, Wcities |

New clothes at giveaway prices |
Rue du Bailli 86 Brussels 1050 Belgium +32 (0)2 538 38 48 (Informatie voor toeristen) |
Dod is a highly recommended shop. You can buy new clothes and shoes at giveaway prices here. Everything is either seconds or a leftover from last year's collections. They even have brand clothes, but of course not at the normal price. Shoes, coats, trousers, shirts, T-shirts, look around and enjoy the prices. On Saturdays it is usually very crowded here; should you like to look around at ease, come during the week. Review © 2007, Wcities |

English food and literature |
186 rue Stevin 186 Brussels 1000 Belgium +32 (0)2 735 1138 |
The English Shop is near the European Union buildings; this explains why the surrounding streets have an international touch. The shop assistants here are generally British. They sell English newspapers and magazines, and upstairs you will find an extensive collection of books. There are decorative articles to give your home a romantic English touch. Downstairs, typically English foods are sold. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Nice little restaurant |
202 Rue Sainte-Lambert Woluwe Shopping Centre Brussels 1200 Belgium +32 (0)2 771 9454 |
On the ground floor of the Woluwe Shopping Centre you will find this wonderful Parisian-style restaurant, to which a quality fish shop is attached. While it is quite small, it has lots of charm and a buzzing atmosphere. The cuisine is French and Belgian (try the mussel menu!) and of a high quality. This is not a restaurant to travel all the way to Woluwe for, but if you're in the neighbourhood, this is a perfect place to dine. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Portugal in Brussels |
Rue due Taciturne, 43 Brussels 1000 Belgium +32 (0)2 735 0077 |
Orfeu is a Portuguese book shop near the European Union building. The shop entrance is about five steps high, as is often the case with old mansions. There is an extensive collection of Portuguese books and CDs. Good for most of us, there original version and translated Portuguese literature is available. They also sell Portuguese souvenirs and jewellery. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Spanish bookshop |
115 Rue Stévin 115a Brussels 1000 Belgium +32 (0)2 230 1029 |
Punto y Coma is a Spanish bookshop run by a native Spaniard. He speaks French, but it is easier to speak Spanish with him. All books are in Spanish. All you need is a warm day and you can imagine yourself way down south. The manager goes to Spain regularly to buy the books that are sold here. If anything is out of stock, just ask him to order it for you. Besides the books there are also video films. Review © 2007, Wcities |
