12 kilometers northeast of city center Brussels, Flemish Brabant 1930 Belgium +32 (0)2 753 2687 http://www.brusselsairport.be |
Brussels being the capital of Europe, this airport is a gateway for a bevy of international diplomats, Eurocrats, business travellers and expatriates. Therefore, flights departing and arriving from this airport almost always seem to be fully booked, leaving in their wake a bustling airport filled with jittery travellers and those who've come to meet them. Most signs are posted in Belgium's three national languages, French, German and Dutch, as well as in English. Short-term and long-term parking facilities are available 24 hours a day. The bus station, located below the Arrivals Hall, can be reached by escalators and lifts through the Diamond Area. In addition to local bus services (De Lijn and MIVB/STIB) and hotel shuttles, a scheduled SN Brussels Airport Express bus for Antwerp is available. Taxis (metered) are available outside the Arrivals Hall. This is a fairly well-planned airport, so there are minimal frustrations. All major flights operate from here. Review © 2007, Wcities |
