Situated near the embassies |
Benczur utca, 35 District VI Budapest 1068 Hungary +36 1 342 7970 |
This hotel is situated along the quiet street known as 'Embassy Row' near Hosok tere (Heroes' Square) and City Park. It shares a building and reception desk with Hotel Pedagogous, which is around 10% cheaper. The location is a good one, as it is on a subway and bus line. Many major sights are within a five-minute walk, including two museums, a large park, the zoo, and some great restaurants and cafés. The surrounding area is made up of beautiful decaying mansions, some of which have undergone renovation as well as others which apparently have not been touched in several years. Apartment-only hotel |
Kisdiofa utca, 13 District VII Budapest 1077 Hungary +36 1 321 1533 http://www.hotelambra.hu |
This apartment-only hotel actually works on a time-share scheme, so if you belong to RCI (Resort Condominiums International - an international time-share company) you could perhaps get an exchange week. The building is modern and has pleasant decor. All four-bedroom apartments come with a kitchen. The location is convenient - within walking distance of several sights and entertainment venues. Public transport is also available nearby. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This is a modern Austrian-owned hotel set in a quiet street off Andrassy utca, only a stone's throw from the Opera House. The lobby and rooms are spacious, light and airy. The location is very convenient as it is on a metro line and also within walking distance of many sights. Many multinational companies have recently opened brand new offices right near here as well. Located beside Heroes' Square |
Dozsa Gyorgy ut, 106 District VI Budapest 1068 Hungary +36 1 269 5300 |
This hotel has a very convenient location. It is within a five-minute walk of two of the city's most well known museums and is right next to the zoo and a huge park (that has hot baths and a castle) as well as the amusement park. Furthermore, many fine restaurants and cafés are also at hand. The hotel is also on the yellow subway line and has numerous bus connections to the centre. Not all rooms are air-conditioned, so in the summer months be sure to check, as otherwise sleeping can get a little uncomfortable. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This hotel is both inexpensive and centrally located. As it is situated just off Andrassy ut, there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, with good nightlife and easy public transport connections. The rooms are simple, but clean and pleasant. This hotel represents a good combination of excellent location and value for money. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Small downtown hotel |
Kadar utca 7 District XIII Budapest 1132 Hungary +36 1 329 3830 |
This small, two-star hotel is in a great location; downtown near the Nyugati train station. It is within easy walking distance of most of the major sights. If you stay here you'll really be in the centre of things downtown. Right nearby is a huge shopping complex, as well as many bars, cafés, clubs and so on. The atmosphere in this area is very alive, very current, and very infectious. In many ways it is the most vibrant area of the city, constantly changing but still somehow staying the same. Hotel offering apartments |
Benczur utca, 19 District VI Budapest 1068 Hungary +36 1 342 8347 http://www.hotels.hu/radio_inn... |
This hotel is located in the peaceful, tree-filled area near Heroes' Square where most of the consulates are situated. The apartments are spacious and come fitted with kitchens. If you don't want to feel like you're staying in a sterilised hotel, then this might be the place for you - the rooms feel like home very quickly. It is located close to many sights and is on major public transit lines. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Charming hotel with first class coffee shop |
Terez korut, 43 District VI Budapest 1066 Hungary +36 1 301 1600 http://www.radisson.com/budape... |
This is a charming hotel - one of the prettiest in the city - located very close to the Nyugati (western) station on a busy boulevard. The coffee shop in particular is not to be missed. Here, waitresses dressed in turn-of-the-century costumes serve coffee and delicious cakes on beautiful Herend porcelain. Review © 2007, Wcities |
