Situated near the embassies |
Benczur utca, 35 District VI Budapest 1068 Hungary +36 1 342 7970 |
This hotel is situated along the quiet street known as 'Embassy Row' near Hosok tere (Heroes' Square) and City Park. It shares a building and reception desk with Hotel Pedagogous, which is around 10% cheaper. The location is a good one, as it is on a subway and bus line. Many major sights are within a five-minute walk, including two museums, a large park, the zoo, and some great restaurants and cafés. The surrounding area is made up of beautiful decaying mansions, some of which have undergone renovation as well as others which apparently have not been touched in several years. Affordable one-star hotel |
Szegedi ut, 27 District XIII Budapest 1135 Hungary +36 1 350 3181 |
This one-star hotel offers accommodation in four-bed rooms. Rates are charged not per person but per room so while it's reasonable as a single, it's an extremely good deal if there are four of you. Located on the Pest side near Arpad hid metro, it's a ten-minute ride into the city centre. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Comfortable, reasonably priced hotel |
Kerekes utca, 12-20 District XIII Budapest 1135 Hungary +36 1 350 1456 |
This one-star hotel is part of the Eravis chain. It offers rooms with three to four beds for which the charges are per person per night. The prices are reasonable and it's on the M3 metro line, which means that the city centre is easily accessible. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Near Nyugati train station |
Rakos ter, 34 District XIV Budapest 1142 Hungary +36 1 251 8539 |
This two-star hotel is on the far side of the Nyugati train station. It is also within walking distance of the city center. The location is a good one, especially for those who like to explore what can be considered the more genuine parts of a city (i.e. neighborhoods where real people live, rather than just tourist areas). While perfectly safe by day, some caution would be advised if strolling home in the early hours. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Located beside Heroes' Square |
Dozsa Gyorgy ut, 106 District VI Budapest 1068 Hungary +36 1 269 5300 |
This hotel has a very convenient location. It is within a five-minute walk of two of the city's most well known museums and is right next to the zoo and a huge park (that has hot baths and a castle) as well as the amusement park. Furthermore, many fine restaurants and cafés are also at hand. The hotel is also on the yellow subway line and has numerous bus connections to the centre. Not all rooms are air-conditioned, so in the summer months be sure to check, as otherwise sleeping can get a little uncomfortable. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hotel near the stadium |
Istvanmezei ut 1-3 District XIV Budapest 1146 Hungary +36 1 252 6749 |
This hotel is within a two-minute walk of the grounds of Budapest's main stadium (sporting events). As a result it is popular with fans from out of town. It is also convenient for the Keleti train station and M2 metro. With only 11 rooms, booking ahead is necessary. The immediate area around the hotel is not inspiring, but it is what some would call the real, or perhaps other Budapest. Getting to the center takes less than ten minutes by Metro. Hotel offering apartments |
Benczur utca, 19 District VI Budapest 1068 Hungary +36 1 342 8347 http://www.hotels.hu/radio_inn... |
This hotel is located in the peaceful, tree-filled area near Heroes' Square where most of the consulates are situated. The apartments are spacious and come fitted with kitchens. If you don't want to feel like you're staying in a sterilised hotel, then this might be the place for you - the rooms feel like home very quickly. It is located close to many sights and is on major public transit lines. Review © 2007, Wcities |
