At peak times, there are more than 500 buses and 24 Light Rail Transit (LRT) cars moving people around this sprawling city. Calgary Transit has both a Web site and a Teleride phone system that provides readers estimated next-bus times for every stop in the city. Each stop has an assigned four-digit code to ensure accuracy. There are also several passes available at varying fees. LRT train rides are free in the downtown east-west corridor.
