Summer is the best season to visit Il Giardino, because meals can be enjoyed outdoors on the patio that overlooks the ever-changing 17th Avenue. The interior of the restaurant is warm and comfortable, with classic Italian decor and neat, courteous servers. It serves traditional Italian pastas and dishes, but the house specialty is definitely the calamari, which is served in such large portions that it often takes two people to finish off a single serving.
