The freshest and fastest subs and wraps |
400 Crowfoot Crest North West Calgary, AB T3G 2P6 Canada +1 403 241 2201 http://www.badassjacks.com/loc... |
For sandwiches and wraps where you know exactly what you're getting, check out Badass Jack's. The beef here is sliced right off a roast, and the poultry is carved from a rotisserie chicken, directly in front of the customer. There are no real menus here, so you decide exactly what you want on each sandwich, right down to the sauce ingredients. A sub or wrap is usually ready in less than five minutes, making this a good place to grab a quick lunch. There are 10 or 15 tables in the restaurant, which uses deli-style self-service instead of waitstaff. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Extra cactus paddles, please |
2218 Ave SW Calgary, AB T2P 1B7 Canada +1 403 264 4777 |
Since salsa culture has become Calgary's latest craze, the owners of Casa must be smiling smugly: they have been offering the food, music and spirits of Latin America for years. The large menu includes classics such as ceviche, sopes, burritos, and steak and seafood dishes. There are also Italian dishes with a Latin American influence, such as fettuccini with cactus paddles and pizzas topped with chayote squash. There is live music here on weekend nights, and enough tequila and fruity cocktails available to inspire some hot dancing. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Dixon's Public House offers a large and varied menu that takes you back east to the salty breezes of the Canadian Maritimes. Try the Guinness and asparagus soup, or their Jack Daniel's barbecued chicken. Although it's a little out of the way, you will be glad you came to check out the food and charm. The decor is reminiscent of an old British pub with all kinds of memorabilia from the Maritimes that decorate the walls. They also have an upstairs and patio seating is available in the warmer months. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The wooden patio is especially inviting, as are the homemade soups and salsas. You can even check your e-mail on the online computer while the kids run amok in a toy-blessed children's area. This Mexican restaurant has been around since 1988, and has quite an extensive menu. Although it is on the small side in terms of space, it offers a cozy ambience that is often missing from larger establishments. You can join them for either lunch or supper, and you can choose from foods running the gamut from the very spicy to the very mild. Domestic and imported beers and wines are available. Salt and Pepper adds a touch of class to their décor with beautiful hardwood floors and attractive glass topped tables. Reservations are recommended if your party consists of six or more.
