The Calgary H&M store opened in 2007, 3 years after the success of their first Canadian store in Toronto. Clothes-shopping for the entire family can be done collectively at H&M. Adult, teenage and children's wear for both men and women are all available under one roof. Often clothes-stores with chains have the same designs to offer, but H&M tries to bend that cliché and provide variety in every shop. While a host of dress stores are lined up in the Market Mall, H&M wouldn't be hard to miss. To add to all those pluses, the prices remain extremely reasonable.

Located on 17th Avenue Southwest, it offers a huge array of products made from hemp including bubble bath, incense and clothing. Although a little on the pricey side, the clothes last much longer than their 'non-hemp' versions because of the stronger fibers. There are also a number of interesting books, jewelry and artwork as well as information on the widespread use of this plant. This particular clothing store, one block from the MacLeod Trail, began several years ago to assist women who were re-entering the workforce after leaving an abusive situation. Its motto remains the same today: To help those who, for whatever reason, are unable to help themselves. There are actually six of these stores in the city, and all accept donated items such as clothing, furniture and children's toys. There is a lot to choose from, and even though it takes some digging, don't let that wear you down. You will find some great treasures here!
