This annual air show is one of the many conducted over the year. While the Duxford War Museum is abuzz with activity for most of the year, the Autumn show gains a lot of attention. Traditionally broadcast on BBC television and radio on Christmas Eve, King's College Chapel's world-famous choir celebrates Jesus Christ's nativity with the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a traditional narration of the Christmas story in word and song. The service begins at 3p, with entry to the chapel from around 1:30p. However, the popularity of the service means that a queue forms by 8a on Christmas Eve, snaking around the courts of King's College. To have a chance of entry, visitors need to be in the queue before 10:30a. Not suitable for small children; free admission. Review © 2007, Wcities |
