Pizza

Unbeatable Pizzas
3, quai St-Pierre
Cannes, Alpes-Côte d'Azur 06400
France

Something of a local institution, this pizzeria's pleasant décor, great food, reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere have made it one of the town's favourite eateries. The dining area is spread over two floors (with an attractive mezzanine), and there's also a terrace. The restaurant seats almost 400, and while it gets pretty noisy, the pizzas are always good - no matter what time of day. Spaghetti and fresh pasta is also available.

Voile au Vent

Brasserie By The Port
17, quai St Pierre
Cannes, Alpes-Côte d'Azur 06400
France
+33 4 9299 0408
This pub's décor resembles the inside of a boat's hull; varnished wood everywhere, portholes, and so on. There's also a fabulous painting of Cannes during the 19th century. The atmosphere is cheerful, and you can play chess while drinking your beer. It's a great place to hang out with friends. The food is typical brasserie fare; four kinds of meat with home-made chips. If you come in at lunchtime, make use of the bargain meal, an all-inclusive set menu: starter, main course, dessert and carafe of wine. Draught beer goes for around 2.15 EURO, and the lunch set menu for around 10 EURO.

Seafood Restaurant on the Beach

Cannes, Alpes-Côte d'Azur 06400
France

This elegant dining hall with a view of the sea offers a fabulous selection of seafood. Dishes include cassolette de fruits de mer (seafood stew), soupe de poisson (fish soup), symphonie de poissons à la crème de palourdes (a shellfish combo), and huîtres gratinées (grilled oysters). Each day the restaurant surprises its customers with a little treat, such as a glass of champagne at the end of the meal. There's no better place to appreciate seafood in Cannes than at A La Maree. The single set menu at 24.24 EURO is an excellent value.
