The Hotel Inter-Continental has not strayed too far to find a replacement for its former restaurant, the Boulevard. Not only is the Amber just across the hall from the old diner, but it also employs former chef, Mick Verheyen. The black-and-white walls with rich strokes of color strike a balance between over-the-top and blasé. The menu strikes a similar balance. For example, many of the soups, salads and sandwiches are low in fat, cholesterol and sodium, even as they are high on taste. For heartier entrees, try the Apricot-glazed Roasted Duck served with a veggie egg-roll. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Review © 2009, Wcities |
