Tucked into Lakeview, the Briar Street successfully combines the best features of a small neighborhood theater with the more popular aspects of the Loop's grander showcases. This is a fine line to tread and for many years, it has done so successfully. The theater tends to present a mix between mainstream and more controversial fare.
