Just off Michigan Avenue in the Seneca Hotel building is a terrific getaway from the hustle and bustle of the teeming throngs. Chalfins' is one of Chicago's only authentic New York-style delis. Dig into a salami omelet or a gigantic corned beef sandwich with a knish on the side. Of course, you have to wash it all down with a chocolate phosphate. Prices are a little high for this type of establishment, but it is an escape from the more crowded restaurants on the Avenue. Review © 2009, Wcities |
