Guests at this 45-room hotel get the chance to partake in genuine Chicago neighborhood life, away from the Loop. Built in the 1920s, the small hotel once catered to vaudevillian performers and Mafia gangsters. Today, it is a charming European-style hotel with pleasant rooms, good service, and reasonable rates. Its gastronomical neighbor, Ann Sather's Swedish restaurant, is known to offer complimentary cinnamon rolls, even via room service, for breakfast.
