The popularity of this arts festival has exploded in recent years because the Wicker Park neighborhood itself, at one time an artist's Bohemia, has been gentrified. Taking its name from the building at the corner of Milwaukee, Damen and North Avenues that resembles a howling canine, the festival focuses on a diverse variety of arts and artists. Pepsi Coliseum is a part of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Everything from trade shows to concerts, ice skating events, and ice-hockey competitions are held at this venue.
