100 West Randolph Street, Suite 2-200 James R. Thompson Center Chicago, IL 60601 +1 312 814 5321 http://www.museum.state.il.us/programs/illinois-artisans/ |
A not-for-profit program of the Illinois State Museum Society, the shop showcases work created by the state's best artisans. Usually following a seasonal or decorative trend, this shop showcases the work of area artisans and craftsmen with a special focus on Chicago-area thinking and innovation. Past displays have included stuffed animals and hand-carved wood toys, and textiles created by local artist Lisa Nelson. The space itself is warm and inviting, and tourists should find the place a delight. Review © 2009, Wcities |
