Boogie down to a 1970s beat in style |
1009 North Rush Street Chicago, IL 60611 +1 312 664 1001 http://www.jillys.com/ |
And you thought they were 20 years dead. That's right - the 1970s are back, dusted off and pumped up with a cranking modern sound system. Climb down the stairs, check your coat and prepare to shake your booty. Since it opened in 1996, Jilly's Retro has become "the" disco hot spot in town, attracting the beautiful people from Chicago and points west - Hollywood west. Kevin Costner, Chris O'Donnell, Bruce Willis and Michael Jordan are a few of the celebrities who have visited. Do not expect to see them, though. They are usually in the V.I.P. room sipping cognac by themselves. The dressed-to-kill looks of the main floor are enough to impress, but bring your pocket book. Jilly's does not fool around, and even well drinks are expensive, with $7 barely buying you a shot of scotch. Admission varies between $5-$10. Review © 2009, Wcities |
