The service and atmosphere is straight forward, and the food is in the meat and potatoes vein of distinctly American cuisine. Reminiscent of an urban hunting lodge of sorts, the decor features wood furnishings and a private room off the main dining area. Choose from a selection of sandwiches, soups, meats, seafood and vegetables, all cooked and served up fresh by Chef John Chiakulas and his staff. Menu items include a crusted superior whitefish for $13.95 and a crispy pan fried sole with lemon caper butter sauce for $14.95. Or try the Mumsie's chopped steak for $9.95 (add mushrooms/onions for $1).One of the highest priced menu items is the filet mignon, for $20.95.
