This is about as informal as it gets these days in River North. The interior of this Northern Italian restaurant is designed to look like a rustic kitchen. The intent is to create a homey environment, and it works surprisingly well. Since 1984, the staff has been serving such items as Veal Shank for two (carved at your table), chicken bakes served in a clay pot and yummy homemade desserts. Also unusual for the area is the wine selection. Over 20 varieties are available by the glass, so you don't have to bust your budget by ordering an entire bottle if you would rather not.
