A stone fireplace, warm earthy decor and wooden flooring welcome you at this steak house. Start with an array of appetizers - Crab Cakes with saffron cream sauce and fried spinach ($8.95). Salads and sandwiches are especially prepared with fresh ingredients. The Cobb Salad comes with greens, honey mustard dressing and grilled chicken ($8.95). Dig your forks into the Salmon Pasta ($12.95) or the most innovative of all steaks called Surf & Turf ($24.95) which is a whopping five ounce filet mignon and five ounce lobster tail with butter all drawn, and twice baked potato and vegetables. Wine, both red and white are less than $8. Prairie's has it's very own Root Beer ($2.50) which is served in a frosted glass. For dessert, it can be either the regular Creme Brulee Trio ($4.95) or Arctic Summer ($5.95) with raspberries, blackberries and strawberries in spiced rum and served over vanilla ice cream!
